Days in North Carolina

It's my 5th day in america. Through theses days, I've met some friends in TSA, Yuchun, Cacrol, Jeffery, Andrew, OG, Dick, De Wei, and my host Chichi and rely on them. Though it's good to speek Chineses in a new environment and alien culture and even learn many new stuffs from them, still I have to get into the English environment. To meet some friends who talk English but Chinese.

As for the food, the amount is about 1.5~2 times a set compared with Taiwan. RedRobin, Chai, Bajongle and Thai Cafe are the restaurants I've been since arrived. The price is high. It's about 10-15$ a set plus 10~15% fee for lunch and 15~20% for dinner.

My apartment will be available on Aug. 1. The procedure of leasing a place is far from my imagination. Since electricity, internet and Water supply are not included, I got to apply for myself. Talking in English by phone is a really big challenge for me. The first time is Laura, my townhouse agent, then the second time is the officer of Duke Energy. After the conversation I realized that talking in English is not a really big problem for me(maybe it's writing). The most exhilirating event was communicaring Australian MEM student from Melborne. She said my English is good (I knew that was a compliment). Still, I feel more confident.

Next, the missions are studying, buying a car, searching for 2nd hand furniture and cooking all by myself.
